Writing and Editing

In my 18 years as an academic, I have developed a wide variety of highly transferable communication skills, including:

  • writing about research for academic and other audiences

  • editing and providing strategic advice on other people’s writing

  • devising and developing educational curricula

  • Presenting to students, the public, industry and professional audiences.

I am able to gather and synthesise information from disparate sources and make even the most complex ideas accessible to a wide range of audiences. My background in ethics has made me adept at synthesising information about "facts" and "values"  and making complex technical and social ideas accessible to a wide range of audiences.
